sorry i haven't been updating. i don't even know what i've been doing, as usual, but busy busy busy. lets see if i can compose a little list here to summarize:

1. not sleeping (are you surprised though, i mean really)
2. I actually have been doing some homework!!! (be surprised here haha). yeah since midterms are coming up i've been trying to do some of the readings and getting ready. i think ym favorite class is my globalization class because the professor is really interesting. he worked at the university of michigan and speaks some english, but the neat part is in class he isnt hellbent on sticking to his lession plan and we have gotten into some really interesting conversations as a class about things semi offtopic but interesting and important, especially to argentina. like we talked about los desaparecidos of the dirty war here and how everyone knows about the mothers who march around in plaza de mayo but how there is also another side to the story- how apparently the leader of the mother's thing and other have embellished disapparences and all this other stuff. i dunno it was just neat to hear things from a different side, from someone who was here and lived through this time you know. anyway... i am reaaaallly not looking forward to going to back regular school... thats for sure. the thing is even though i dont feel like i have tons of homework here i really have been learning a lot, especially since everyhting is in spanish. and really who can beat having classes three days a week? NOT POSSIBLE!
3. well besides going out etc, on saturday i went to the theatre!! that was fun. i went with rumbi, matt murphy from arizona (who has been here for the past semester as well) and a bunch of the ecuadorian/colombian friends they/we have. the best part i actually understood a lot of it, which is even more fun! it makes me feel like really getting something from being here and all. we went and saw an argentine play called "cita las ciegas"- it was an intimate venue in a really old theatre called teatro cervantes. we had seats in the front row which was basically the same level as the stage so that was neat, too. i dont think i will do a good job explaining the content but it was basically about the interconnectivity of the loves of these four people. the actors expressions and mannerisms really made the play though- i was impressed.
4. i got scouted out on the street (while walking to school with wet hair and no makeup etc) by some photographer (semi-creepy...yeah) to be in some argentine commercial. i graciously declined and quickly kept walking lol.
5. tonight we had a fun birthday dinner/celebration for matt the canadian. they had found this restaurant that has hooka (apparently impossible to find here) and we had an amazing dinner. it ended up being about 500 pesos for 10 people including wine, dessert and champagne.. how i love it.
otherwise-- i dunno really. i feel like im spending a lot of money and need to chill for a bit. its just like, oh this is only 3 american dollars or whatever, who cares! but its gonna start ending up and i'd like to be able to eat when i get home lol.

hope all is well with everyone- feel free to email/comment etc and i'll try to start giving better updates again :P
