Jazz en Buenos Aires
Last night we had a fun little evening out- Randi, Lily and I hit some some sushi libre (pretty much all you can eat, mm mmmm) with Randi's friend Wells. Although we were planning on going to the movies afterwards to see some random argentine movie, Wells knew of this little jazz club near us that has live music on thursdays and we decided to check it out. porque no!?
Best idea- the place was reaaallly cool. a fun little intimate venue called Thelonious (after Thelonious Monk as Wells informed me) that had a great band a cool atmosphere. it's one of those places you wouldn't even notice if you were walking down the street unless you were looking for it. They also made reaaally good drinks (had my first cosmopolitan! delish!). So I think we will be definitely heading back there before we leave to check out the music some more- it was def a place you would looove dad.
I finally got my stupid visa- hooray. i had to make another trip down to migraciones today (takes like an hour to get there) but now i have my stupid piece of paper saying its okay i'm in argentina. I was pretty disappointed that its not like an actual visa en my passport but a print out on a normal piece of copy paper. are they really expecting me carry that around, or worse, not to lose that? sheesh! at least i am considered legal and will get credit for my classes i'm taking here.
